Nicolas Jones

I’m a creative product leader, with a passion for User Experience design and innovation.

About

Hi, I’m Nicolas Jones. I’m a product and UX leader with 15+ years turning ambitious ideas into usable, pragmatic tools, including several years scaling AI-driven platforms.

01

Approach

We are all unique… and therefore interact in different and unpredictable ways. My interest in such user-related questions sits at the intersection of human-computer interaction and cognitive science. Above all, I value creative thinking and novel solutions.

02

Background

Half Swiss, half English, I’m a computer science engineer from EPFL and hold a Ph.D. in Human-Computer Interaction, focused on recommender systems.

03

Deeplink.ai

2019 to 2026

Most recently, I spent 5+ years at Deeplink.ai, a Swiss AI startup building chatbots and an agentic platform. I joined as UX/UI Expert and was promoted to Chief Product Officer in 2022, owning the roadmap, building UX from scratch, and driving strategic AI-focused client projects. I’m now looking for a new challenge to bring that same product and UX rigor to products with lasting impact, built to be sustainable and responsible.

04

ELCA & SecuTix

2011 to 2019

Before that, from 2011 to 2019, I worked at ELCA and its ticketing spin-off SecuTix, designing omnichannel B2C, B2B and C2C platforms and growing into a product management role, balancing clients’ needs with the product’s growth goals.

05

Off duty

In my spare time, I’ve presided the JVAL Openair music festival for over 10 years – still active as a volunteer – play music myself, and spend as much time as I can trail running in the mountains.

Selected work

A small selection of projects, mostly from earlier in my career. My recent work at Deeplink.ai can’t be published yet, but it’s visible in the product.

Svenjick, is that a bookshelf?

No, Svenjick is not the name of a Swedish interior-design product. It’s simply the name I go by online (yes, turns out there are a lot of “Nicolas Jones” out there…).
